First launched in 1995 as Fish Africa an exhibition serving Africa's fishing fleets this biannual event has, over the years, been steadily expanding its scope to embrace all aspects of maritime endeavour.
The first name change came in 2007 when the event became known as Fish & Marine Africa.
Now with the exhibition profile including ship building and repair, marine engineering, fishing, mining and work boats as well as its co-location withe Oil & Gas Africa, an event dedicated to West'Africa's offshore oilfield operations, it makes sense to effect another name change to reflect current realities - welcome to Maritime and Offshore Marine Africa.
