The Liquid Metal Processing & Casting Conference (LMPC) is a forum for the exchange of research ideas in the fields of liquid metal casting, processing and remelting. Previous meetings have covered topics including modeling and applications of casting in nickel-base alloys, steels and aluminum; vacuum arc and electroslag remelting; electron beam, vacuum induction and plasma processing; and also various results concerning the properties and the behavior of gases and non-metallic inclusions in liquid metals. This meeting will cover all of those topics, but will also include the addition of the topical area of liquid metal behavior in additive manufacturing processes. Networking opportunities will also offer attendees a chance to informally discuss the latest developments in liquid metal processing, while also making valuable professional connections.
