New Civil Engineer is excited to announce the return of its annual bridge conference in person for 2023, with a new name of NCE Bridge Design and Management.
Join us on 28 June in London to explore the maintenance challenges, innovations in design and construction, and drive to increase sustainability within the bridge sector.
Following the continuous focus on sustainability driven home by the past two COP summits, combined with the skills, funding and maintenance challenges, this is a demanding time for the bridge sector. The focus for bridge owners and their supply chains is now on innovative solutions to drive down embedded carbon, improve circularity in projects, and achieve efficient and cost effective maintenance solutions.
This challenge offers the industry the opportunity to rethink how bridges should serve future communities. What does the industry need to do to bring bridge structures up to speed with the needs of modern-day society? How can we bring the carbon agenda to the forefront of projects? What changes do we need to see across the industry and which innovations are going to help us get there?
We are excited to create a forum for the industry's thought leaders at a pivotal time for the sector.
