Building on the success of previous editions, ACI's 5th European Clean Ammonia Summit will bring together senior decision-makers from across the clean ammonia value chain to address the commercial, regulatory and investment challenges shaping the industry's future.
As Europe looks to accelerate industrial decarbonisation, clean ammonia presents significant opportunities as a low-carbon feedstock, maritime fuel and hydrogen carrier. However, the transition from ambitious project announcements to commercially viable production remains challenging. High production costs, uncertain long-term demand, evolving regulatory frameworks and difficulties securing investment continue to prevent projects from reaching final investment decisions.
The European Clean Ammonia Summit will focus on what is needed to overcome these barriers and secure the industry's long-term future through bankable demand, profitable investment and regulatory clarity. Discussions will explore how producers, developers, energy companies, investors and policymakers can establish stronger commercial foundations, while examining the critical role of buyers and end users in driving market growth.
Particular attention will be given to securing long-term offtake agreements, strengthening the business case for clean ammonia production, improving cost competitiveness and unlocking demand across the fertiliser, maritime and hydrogen sectors. The programme will also examine the impact of European policy, certification requirements and infrastructure development on investment decisions and market confidence.
