Saudi Arabia is experiencing a ports and shipping boom with a number of mega-projects currently in progress in the country. Combined with the development of a land bridge rail connection between Jeddah on the Red Sea and Damman on the Gulf and the construction of a new passenger and freight line between Jeddah and Riyadh, construction on major infrastructure projects continues unabated.
