The Annual Congress of the Asia Pacific Federation of Coloproctology (APFCP) and the Asian Society of Stoma Rehabilitation (ASSR) Congress is the premier biannual Congress in the field of colorectal surgery, stoma rehabilitation, and related specialties, fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing across the Asia-Pacific region. This congress bring together leading surgeons, clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals to discuss advancements, share expertise, and strengthen professional networks.
The APFCP was established 40 years ago to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange among colorectal specialty organisations in the Asia-Pacific region. It promotes the development of colorectal surgery and research, addressing the unique challenges and advancements pertinent to the region. The ASSR complements this mission by focusing on stoma rehabilitation and patient-centered care.
The congress, which is held biennially, to address the interdisciplinary nature of colorectal care, from surgical innovations to post-operative rehabilitation. The Congress highlights cutting-edge research, technological advancements, and global best practices while emphasising the culturally diverse needs of patients across the region.
