We are delighted to extend a heartfelt welcome to the XIX Congress of the International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplantation Association (CIIRTA) in September 2025 in Sweden. Set against the backdrop of the charming city of Gothenburg, this is a collaborative effort between the International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplantation Association (IIRTA), Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg and the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.
The International Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplantation Association (IIRTA) aims to serve its scientific community in providing a forum for open exchange of knowledge and expertise to promote intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation as a safe, innovative science involving nutritional, medical, surgical and transplant therapies through education, policy development and research. Every two years, the IIRTA brings together clinicians and scientists from all over the world in the fields of intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation.
We are confident that the congress will serve as a beacon for navigating the ever-evolving landscape of intestinal failure management, offering valuable insights in our search for the" True North" in the watershed area of intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation.
Designed to cater to the interest of surgical and medical teams, allied health professionals and preclinical scientists engaged in the comprehensive management of intestinal failure, CIIRTA 2025, promises a rich program featuring collaborative discourse, interactive workshops, and keynote presentations. Our ultimate goal is to explore the frontiers in intestinal rehabilitation and transplantation as well as fundamental cutting-edge basic science research relevant to the field.
