With a reformed Mineral Exploitation Agreement Model, a modern mining code, world-class infrastructure, a highly skilled workforce, untapped geological potential, and the development of a dedicated mining portal providing potential investors with accessible data, Egypt rapidly emerged as a competitive and attractive destination for mineral exploration. Backed by a government committed to increasing the sector's contribution to 6% of GDP, the country laid the groundwork for long-term growth and investment.
Hosted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and supported by the Egyptian Mineral Resources & Mining Industries Authority (EMRA), the 2025 edition of the Forum brought together senior government officials, industry thought leaders, junior exploration companies, financial institutions, and investors to explore the challenges, opportunities, and strategies needed to position Egypt as a leading global mining hub.
We now plan ahead for the 2026 edition, scheduled to take place on 28 - 29 September at The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo.
