It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 51st Congress of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS), taking place in 2027 in the vibrant city of Riga, Latvia, 3-7 July 2027. The hosting of this FEBS Congress is a special collaboration between the biochemical Societies of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, reflecting the shared scientific heritage and forward-looking spirit of the Baltic region. We look forward to welcoming colleagues from across Europe and around the world for an event that promises to inspire, challenge and connect.
Our congress theme, "From biomolecules to biomes", captures the remarkable breadth and depth of modern molecular life sciences. Today's biochemical research spans scales - from the intricate architecture of proteins and nucleic acids to the dynamic networks that shape cells, organisms and entire ecosystems. By bringing together experts working at every level of biological organization, we aim to foster dialogue that sparks new ideas, bridges disciplines, and accelerates discovery.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to engage with leading scientists, explore emerging technologies, and participate in discussions that address some of the most pressing scientific and societal challenges of our time. We hope the programme - which will include plenary lectures from groundbreaking researchers, focused symposia, special sessions, and opportunities for participants to present their own work - encourages you to think boldly, collaborate widely and consider how molecular insights can illuminate the complexity of life on our planet.
