We are delighted to invite you to the VIII International Symposium on Fig, organized by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest under the auspices of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), Romanian Academy, Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, and Romanian Society of Horticulturists, between 05 - 09 September 2027, in Bucharest, Romania.
Fig is an important fruit species with a great potential to be extended on a large range of soils and mild climates, being known for its high adaptability to dried areas and for its super fruits - sources of many nutraceutical compounds.
Even in Romania fig is cultivated in small orchards and mainly in family gardens, the symposium is a new opportunity to promote this fantastic species and to contribute to the rise of farmers, food processors, great distribution and consumers attention and interest.
