It is a great pleasure and privilege to invite you join us at the International Conference on Pacific Rim Laser Damage (PLD 2026) to be held on 20-23 May, 2026, Hangzhou, China, hosted by Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
Laser induced damage in optical materials is a primary consideration in laser design and laser operations. Since the very beginning of laser technology, many efforts have been on this problem for researchers working in high-power/high-energy lasers, materials and thin films fabrication, characterization and measurement, damage mechanisms. SPIE aims to provide an opportunity for world-wide researchers to communicate efficiently and to exchange information on the new problems, solutions, and technologies in the field of laser damage as well as optical materials. Since the first Pacific Rim Laser Damage took place in Shanghai, 2011, PLD 2026 is the twelfth Conference. We must thank all participants and organizers who work so hard for this symposium.
By bringing together the high-quality technical content, influential speakers worldwide, comprehensive topic categories and latest technologies, PLD 2026 is to serve as a platform on exchanging information on recent advances and future trends for researchers and their peers, and to boost brand for the enterprises.
