During it's 18th year, HSJ Patient Safety Congress, Awards and Safety Leaders Exchange brought together over 1000 NHS and independent healthcare leaders, managers, clinicians, patient representatives and families alike. All with one shared intention - to improve and transform patient safety across the healthcare system.
With the government's focus toward the new 10-year healthcare plan arriving in 2025, we drove into what it's going to take to continue to deliver safely amidst times of change. As always, we continued to prioritise honest conversations that centre the safe care of people: patients and their families, and the staff who look after them, at the heart of our discussions. We explored all the fundamentals and facets required for the improvement of a system, that continues to endure and operate under long-standing systemic pressures.
We showcased effective solutions and hearing from key voices, whilst addressing the central issues is what stands this event apart as the most valuable and leading national patient safety event in the UK.
