On behalf of the scientific and organizing committee of the 42nd International Conference of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS-42), which will be held in Chengdu, China, June 15-19, 2027, I am delighted to welcome you to attend PPS-42 conference. PPS-42 is organized by the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Polymer Materials, Polymer Research Institute of Sichuan University and College of Polymer Science and Engineering of Sichuan University, which is one of the largest research and teaching bases of polymer materials with more than 340 staff.'
Since 1985, PPS conference has become one of the most acclaimed meetings in the field of polymer materials and processing, aiming to bring scientists and engineers together from both academia and industry to present research progress, share latest innovations, discuss future developments, and discover networking opportunities. China has successfully held the 16th International Conference of the Polymer Processing Society (PPS-16, Shanghai), and three regional PPS Asia/Australia Conferences (1991 and 2007, Shanghai; 2016, Chengdu).
Chengdu is the provincial capital of Sichuan province, one of the most important economic, transportation, and communication hubs in China, and also the hometown of the lovely giant panda. There are many beautiful sceneries and historical sites within or around Chengdu such as Wu Hou Shrine, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Jiuzhai Valley National Park, Emei Mountain, Qingcheng Mountain etc. Also, Sichuan cuisine is the most popular food in China. Chengdu has 2 big international airports (Ranking 3rd in China) with ~ 100 daily international flights, and ~ 1,600 daily domestic flights in China.'
