We are excited to host this year's SAGES meeting at the Tampa Convention Center from March 25-28, 2026. Reflecting one of SAGES' core values, this year's theme, "Connect to Purpose," underscores our commitment to supporting surgeons in delivering the highest standard of patient care. Our aim is to provide you with the knowledge, resources, and strategies necessary to navigate the complexities of modern healthcare, while fostering a fulfilling, sustainable surgical career.
We invite you to engage with cutting-edge innovation, global collaboration, and the profound realities of a surgical career through our dynamic and thoughtfully curated program tracks. Our Digital Surgery program brings together foundational knowledge and evolving technologies, covering AI, surgical data science, robotics, telepresence, and visualization. Global Surgery sessions center on shared learning across borders, with bilingual panels and honest dialogue from colleagues working in resource-limited settings. Our program will also reflect the depth, complexity, and humanity of a surgical career with a three-part series titled A Surgeon's Life, exploring the moral challenges surgeons face - including moral injury, personal failure, and the realities of aging in practice. The Back to Basics series revisits core principles of surgical care, paired with current SAGES guidelines, while This is the Way, a.k.a. Masters Series, highlights expert strategies for technically demanding situations. The Disasters sessions will provide real-world video-based case reviews, and our highly attended Debates encourage open discussion around some of today's most persistent controversies. Also get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into our hands-on courses - featuring Common Bile Duct Exploration, Robotic Transverse Abdominus Release, Per-Oral Endoscopic Myotomy, or Single Anastomosis Duodenal Switch.
In true SAGES tradition, we've curated a vibrant lineup of social events and fun gatherings to help you relax and recharge after full days of learning. Highlights include the exciting Family Feud, wellness activities, and of course, the always-anticipated Friday Night Main Event featuring live music and dancing. The SAGES meeting remains one of the best opportunities to connect, network, and unwind in a dynamic, educational setting. And don't forget: Saturday stays casual - no suits or ties required!
