The vgbe symposium Thermal Waste, Sewage Sludge Treatment, and Fluidized Bed Combustion 2025 will take place on November 25 and 26, 2025, at the Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg.
This year, the vgbe energy e.V. (Association of Energy Plant Operators) is hosting this symposium for the fifth time. It focuses on the operation of thermal plants for the utilization of waste, sewage sludge, and biomass for steam, electricity, and heat generation. The event offers a forum for operators, manufacturers, and service providers to exchange experiences on findings, developments, and problems in the field of combustion plants. The event will also examine upstream and downstream processes for fuel pre-treatment and residue post-treatment, as well as experiences from plant operation and maintenance. Presentations will focus on technical modifications and requirements for measures to achieve climate protection goals, among other topics.
