The global event on wind blade materials, design, manufacturing, maintenance and sustainability
The 17th edition of the Wind Turbine Blades conference will be held in Germany in December 2026. This event brings together industry experts from across the value chain to examine key trends and developments in wind turbine blade manufacturing, design, materials, inspection and testing, operations and maintenance (O&M), as well as end-of-life management and recycling.
As the global installed capacity of onshore and offshore wind grows rapidly, with bigger turbines and longer blades, addressing challenges such as blade quality, manufacturing defects, and operational costs becomes critical. Additionally, fierce competition among OEMs to deliver reliable blades at lower prices is putting extra pressure on companies still recovering financially. With the significant increase in decommissioned blades, finding sustainable recycling solutions is crucial to minimising the industry's overall carbon footprint.
This upcoming conference will explore best practices for enhancing blade reliability and sustainability in a cost-effective manner. The agenda will focus on advancements in manufacturing optimisation, including automation, innovative materials, efficient and cost-effective inspection, testing and maintenance to lower LCOE (Levelised Cost of Energy), and achievements in blade recycling.
Over three days, industry experts from leading OEMs, operators, developers, research centres, and technology and material providers will share their insights and updates in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
