We look forward to welcoming you to the fifth World Hepatitis Summit, taking place in the vibrant city of Bangkok, Thailand. WHS is a major global event that brings together key stakeholders to collaborate and accelerate progress in the fight against viral hepatitis, advance the development and implementation of elimination plans, and amplify the community voice in the global hepatitis response.
With less than five years remaining to achieve the global hepatitis elimination goals, WHS 2026 will provide a vital forum to sharpen focus on the strategies and actions needed from the global hepatitis community. Current data shows that we are not on track to reach elimination, underscoring the urgency of the moment. WHS 2026 will be driven by this sense of urgency and anchored in the principles of equity, inclusion, and strong community leadership.
Under the theme "Elimination for everyone, everywhere, right now!", the summit will be a call to action to ensure that no one is left behind. With hepatitis-related mortality increasing and more people than ever dying from a completely preventable disease, the urgency for scaled-up and equitable responses has never been greater.
Shaped by our global programme committee, the Summit will serve as a dynamic platform to highlight innovative ideas and bold strategies, showcase impactful case studies, elevate the voices of those most affected, and generate meaningful partnerships.
