The Florida Airports Council is the official association representing publicly-owned and -operated airports in Florida. Established in October 1969 as the Florida Airport Managers Association (FAMA), the Council was formed to unite the aviation industry in addressing challenges and advancing the future of Florida's airport system.
Today, the Council is composed of members representing all 21 Florida commercial service airports, over 70 of the state's publicly-owned general aviation airports, 1 Spaceport (Cecil Airport), 1 Seaplane Base (Tavares Seaplane Base), and more than 350 corporate, educational, affiliate, student chapter, and student members. FAC is the only organization in Florida dedicated exclusively to airports and solving industry-specific issues. |
