| Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (TEEMA) was founded on 24 October 1948; it was originally known as Electrical Material Manufacturers' Association and was composed of over 50 small-sized factories producing heavy electric machinery, motors, switches, plugs and lighting products. Since its original name doesn't cover today's high-tech industry, it was renamed Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association in 1994.
