The 56th metallography conference will take place in Saarbrucken. In addition to our traditional focus on preparation and microscopic structure mapping, structure analysis and metallographic damage analysis, the topics of the Saarbrucker Metallography Conference will mainly lie in two promising areas for which the Saarbrucken campus with its experts and technical equipment stands like no other in Germany . This is, on the one hand, the further development and application of all tomography methods from the micro to the nano to the atomic scale and, on the other hand, the application of the most modern IT skills to the urgent systematic and efficient digitization - also in our specialist society.
